Monica Forst, M.Ed.,C.C.C.,I.C.A.D.C.
Monica has been working as a health care professional for the past 19 years. She is the co-founder of Choices in Action Counseling Services, where she facilitates a variety of group therapy programs as well as individual and couples therapy. Monica is also a clinical associate and senior trainer of the Men's Project, a counselling agency for men and their families. Among clinical services at The Men's Project, she facilitates an Anger Management Program for men. Monica has presented on numerous psychotherapy issues in the community and the province, including treatment of male survivors of childhood sexual abuse, resiliency, vicarious trauma, attachment theory and psychodramatic techniques. She is a certified addictions counsellor, having worked in the addictions field for a number of years in both hospitals and community health centres. She is also a certified member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and a member of the International Transactional Analysis Association. She spent 10 years in training at the Toronto Centre for Psychodrama, and has also done extensive training with Dr. Kate Hudgins learning and becoming a team leader in the Therapeutic Spiral Model. Monica works under the supervision of a registered psychologist.
